Matthew will host a guitar master class during the Crail Festival on Wednesday 27th July.
This will be held from 9:30 to 6:00 pm in the Community Hall, Crail. Ages from six years and above are welcome. The day will consist of four sections:
Guitar Orchestra 10:00 to 12:30
Students will get the chance to perform and be coached within a guitar orchestra and some pieces will feature in the Student Concert.
Master Class 1:30 to 3:00
Guidance to increase students’ understanding of the music they are playing. Coaching on technical and musical difficulties, stage presence and confidence.
Lecture – The History of the Guitar 3:15 to 4:00
This will cover the many types of music played on the guitar, performers and legends.
Student Concert 5:00 to 6:00
Student concert featuring the Guitar Orchestra, Ensembles and soloists from the Master Class. Rehearsal starts at 4:00.
The Master Class, Lecture and Student Concert will also be open to the public. In addition there will be a public Evening Recital by Matthew starting at 8pm.
All tickets for the public will be available from the Crail Festival Ticket Office.
The price for the day of tuition is £20 – but places are limited to the first 25 applicants. If you would like to reserve a place please print and fill out the form online at Crail Festival and send it with a £10 deposit.
